Q: I HAVE NEVER SHOT BEFORE, MAY I STILL SHOOT?
A: Yes, first time shooters and beginners are welcome. Minors must be at least 15 years old (must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian with the same last name). All passengers boarding the aircraft must go through orientation, mission briefing & simulation to prepare you for the tour.
Q: I AM VISITING LAS VEGAS AS A TOURIST AND LIVE OUTSIDE THE USA. MAY I STILL SHOOT?
A: Yes, as long as you are able to understand and follow important safety instructions in English language provided by our Pilot and Aerial Range Safety officer, you may book the shooting tour with us! Please bring a Government Issues Photo ID or Passport for check-in.
Q: WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO SHOOT?
A: Minimum age to shoot is at least 15 year of age and must be accompanied with a parent or legal guardian (same last name) at all times during the briefing, flight and tour.
Q: WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO FLY ON AIRCRAFT?
A: Minimum age to be a passenger on aircraft as an observer is at least 10 years of age and must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (same last name) at all times during flight and tour.
Q: WHAT IS THE WEIGHT LIMIT PER PASSENGER?
A: To ensure aircraft safety, we have a weight maximum weight limit of 300 lbs. per passenger. If your weight exceeds 300 lbs. you may still fly with us, but you are considered as 2 passengers/seats total. When booking online, please prepared to enter full names of all passengers and approximate weight. Passengers will be reweighed upon arrival to ensure weight safety requirements for the aircraft.
Q: WHAT KIND OF AIRCRAFT ARE WE FLYING IN?
A: It depends on the Shooting Tour Package you choose. The Whiskey Tango package includes flying on an A-Star Gunship aircraft and seats a maximum of 5 passengers total (including Pilot and Aerial Range Safety Officer). This aircraft is unlike any other, as it’s camouflaged to match the desert terrain and has a custom gun mount designed especially for the M249 SAW. The mount gives the shooter additional support and complete flexibility to maneuver the firearm in a safe down-range position to aid with accuracy when securing the target and then pulling the trigger each time.
Q: THE WHISKEY TANGO PACKAGE IS FOR UP TO 3 SHOOTERS/PASSENGERS, CAN YOU PLEASE CLARIFY?
A: Yes, this means that the package allows you up to a total of 3 passengers. This may be a combination of the following: 3 shooters, 1 shooter & 2 observers (or) 2 shooters & 1 observer. Please note, each passenger must not exceed 300 lbs. If you do, you are considered as 2 passengers/seats.
Q: THE WHISKEY TANGO PACKAGE COMES WITH 270 ROUNDS OF AMMUNITION. HOW IS THE AMMUNITION DISTRIBUTED?
A: There are 90 rounds of ammunition per belt, equals 3 belts. Ammunition is evenly distributed among shooters (we are flexible). Keep in mind you may purchase additional ammunition upon arrival.
Q: WHAT ARE WE SHOOTING AT?
A: On our 70 acres Aerial Operation Zone, we have 3 different target stations simulating aerial tactical maneuvers. You will be shooting at stationary reactive steel targets.
Q: WHAT IS THE RANGE DISTANCE WHEN SHOOTING FROM THE AIRCRAFT TO THE TARGET?
A: We are typically shooting from 50 to 100 yards out and from altitudes of between 100 and 800 feet depending on the conditions and terrain.
Q: I'M ON THE AIRCRAFT AND DECIDE LAST MINUTE I WANT TO ADD-ON MORE AMMUNITION. CAN I DO THAT?
A: Yes, you may certainly do so. But it’s highly recommended that you try to add-on additional rounds prior to arrival or at least during check-in onsite. This way we are well prepared in advance to have everything ready for your reservation to ensure a great experience.
Q: WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE FOR THE TOUR?
A: During winter months please wear closed toe shoes, socks and warm clothes because you will be traveling at high altitudes and exposed to cold weather conditions and wind. We do provide jumpsuits, fleece pullovers, eye goggles and gloves for each passenger. You are welcome to bring your own fitted gloves if you wish. During summer months, you may wear pants, shorts and t-shirts but are still required to wear closed toe shoes (no covered front and open backs or slip on shoes). Jumpsuit will be worn on top of clothes. Gloves are optional and not required. Passengers with long hair please tie back into a ponytail or bun.
Q: WHAT EXTRA SAFETY MEASURES DO YOU PROVIDE PRIOR TO BOARDING THE AIRCRAFT?
A: We perform a breathalyzer test and re-weigh each passenger for aircraft safety precautions and requirements. Felons are not permitted.
Q: WHAT IF I ARRIVE LATE FOR MY RESERVATION?
A: If you arrive at least 15 minutes late or more, this may impact our daily flight schedules. We reserve the right to reschedule you to the next available time if necessary. No refunds will be issued.
Q: DO YOU HAVE LOCKERS FOR STORAGE?
A: Yes, we have lockers with locks to store your personal belongings.
Q: MAY I TAKE PHOTOS OR VIDEOS OF MY EXPERIENCE?
A: Due to flight safety and risk of losing valuables, cameras and/or cellular phones/devices are not allowed on the aircraft. But you are welcome to purchase professional video taken within our aircraft of your entire flight & shooting tour for an additional fee, Video Thumb Drive for $59.95. We also offer Souvenir 5×7 Photos for $19.95 each.
Q: I'VE HAD A COUPLE ALCOHOLIC DRINKS, CAN I STILL SHOOT?
A: Each passenger will be breathalyzed upon check-in to ensure safety. If your alcohol level exceeds the limit, you will not be allowed to go through safety/simulation orientation and board the aircraft. No refunds will be issued. Your partner(s) will be able to shoot your rounds.
Q: I AM PREGNANT, MAY FLY OR SHOOT?
A: Due to your safety, pregnant women are not allowed to be a passenger on the aircraft. You are welcome to relax in our lounge area inside the hangar.
Q: CAN I BRING MY OWN FIREARM TO SHOOT?
A: No we do not allow you to bring your own firearm or ammo to shoot.
Q: WHAT IF I END UP NOT SHOOTING ONCE UP IN THE AIR. DO I GET A REFUND?
A: Sorry no refunds as we have provided orientation, simulation and instruction to help prepare you for the full tour.
Q: I WEAR PRESCRIPTION EYE GLASSES. IS THAT GOING TO BE A PROBLEM?
A: Not a problem at all. You may wear your eyeglasses underneath and our complimentary eye goggles for added protection. But if you do not reply upon your eyeglasses, you may leave them in your locker.
Q: IS IT OKAY TO KEEP MY JEWELRY ON DURING THE FLIGHT?
A: We certainly want to minimize any risk of loss due to flying without a door on aircraft, at high altitudes and wind conditions. We highly recommend that you keep any valuables at home or inside your assigned locker. If you are wearing small earrings, the headsets will cover over them just fine. But if you are wearing any loose jewelry, it is best to remove and keep in a secure place.
Q: WE HAVE CHILDREN UNDER 10 YEARS OLD, IS IT OKAY TO BRING THEM WITH US TO WAIT INSIDE THE HANGAR WHILE I FLY?
A: Since we are operating heavy machinery and firearm equipment, this is not a place for children under 10 years old.
Q: DO YOU SERVE OR HAVE FOOD THERE?
A: Our operation is inside of a hangar, therefore we do not serve or sell food. But there are some great cafes and restaurants nearby, in Boulder City. However, we do have water and soda vending machines.
Q: IF I BOOK NOW AND END UP HAVING TO CHANGE THE DATE OR TIME, IS THAT OKAY?
A: Yes, not a problem at all. Just contact us at 702.623.6060 or submit this Reschedule Request Form at your earliest convenience and we will do our best to accommodate you. If your trip gets cancelled and you need to reschedule, we can reschedule your reservation up to a year in advance.
Q: WHAT IS CANCELLATION POLICY?
A: If you cancel your reservation at least 72 hours in advance, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel within 72 hours, you will receive a full refund less 50% cancellation and restocking fee. If you cancel within 24 hours or fail to contact us, no refunds will be issued. If Gunship Helicopters ends up having to cancel a flight due to weather or mechanical issues, we will gladly reschedule you to the next available time or you are entitled to a full refund. Q: WHAT IS GROUP CANCELLATION POLICY?
A: If you cancel your reservation at least 168 hours (7 days) in advance, you will receive a full refund. If you cancel within 168 hours (7 days), you will receive a full refund less 50% cancellation and restocking fee. If you cancel within 72 hours (3 days) or fail to contact us, no refunds will be issued. If transportation was coordinated for my group, then the cancellation fee will include $500.00 (cost for transportation arrangements).
